Re: 1969 Short Wide
Better than when the General rolled it off the assembly line in 69. Nice job on the inside. Does it have that new car smell?

Your Interior looks amazing Mike! I really like the black interior against the red paint.

The pictures might be less than you hoped but the interior of the truck looks great.

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Another late night in the shop last night. Got the Cowl installed, then hinges, hood and finally the bumper.
Tonight, I am getting some tires and hopefully installing the bed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Looks good. The bumper makes a big difference. You must be clearing out a lot of space in the shop as you install parts. You must have been nervous with all of those nicely painted parts sitting around.
I see you have a 292 emblem on the fender. Is that the Cubic inch equivalent of 4.8 liters? You should be driving by Labor Day, for sure.

Nice catch on the engine badging. I went back and forth on this, thought about making custom badges but decided not to. I have been catching some crap about it from my boys but I like it. I'm sure the inline 6 guys won't like it either but hey, it's a little different. And yes 4.8 liters = 292.9 Cubic inches. I know I rounded down but it is what it is...... ![]() Thanks Keith. |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
I think the 292 badge is an excellent idea, I would have never thought of that.

Re: 1969 Short Wide
It's a grant wheel I believe, with the horn button from them as well. Classic parts has it, but certainly not the only place to get it.

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Thanks Drew.
It is a Grant wheel. I didn't buy it from Classic though. I love the wheel, the horn switch setup...not so much. Quote:

Very nice! If the truck drove just half as good as it looks then it must've been a real treat
