Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
yes they are the buddy bucket seats, the seats are light grey vinyl with blue houndstooth insert! I still got to strip the base down an paint it along with the driver seat adjuster and lil bracket to mount the seats

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Over the past couple of days I installed shifter, mounted one of my seats (they're donors from an Audi A4 electric and heated) ran front airlines into cab and started my bed lining, until effin gun failed me... Today hope to install cam, and start fabbing up ck2enter console/sub box...

Porterbuilt gas shock hinges, bath, primed door, shoulder pads and put the original rechromed badges on. Waiting for help to weld up hood parts and get on PB hinges.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
It's doesn't look like much but to me it is a big step. I was able to finally get the inner rocker panel after getting the lower A & B pillars tack welded in. It's been a slow process with only being able to get a few hours a week to work on it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Installed the cluster and went on the first test drive. Found out the brakes won't hold pressure and the OD trans sis bad.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Installed a 1974 PS box using the CaptainFab bracket.
Joined a safer 1974 telescoping lower steering rod to the upper steering column using a U-joint I bought on eBay. The U-joint has DD female connections with through bolts. My original 1965 steering shaft was shortened and the end milled to a DD shape. I also moved my steering wheel 3" closer to the dash for a more comfortable position. The inner and outer column sleeves were sectioned and re-welded to make things look more original.

Half way through installing a set of gauges. Next free weekend I'll finish them off. Just need to plug in the oil pressure and the lights

Drove around and fine tuned stuff, Found the clutch fork return spring missing and damn it, may have to replace the old Harrison radiator after all.
But all in all, not a bad ride!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
I cleaned the old 6 banger to try and determine where all the oil leaks are. This exposed some casting numbers which after consulting the database on here, told me this isn't a 230 like I thought, it's in fact a 250 produced from 68 to 84. Holy crap, learn something new every day!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Last night I installed the front bumper after painting. My truck was black with gray scallops but I've given her a makeover. I may add red scallops.

Reversed my rear bumper, will have to see if it grows on me. I do like the nice straight line on top now.

Took my '56 out of the garage so I could see how the 1.5 inch drop springs and 2in drop spindles look, also decided to sweep the floor before I put back inside!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Well, I tried to install my rear back window but I, apparently, am an idiot. Couldn't get past the corners without tearing the seal, which I did. Going to have the local glass shop. They did a great job on my windshield.
