Thanks, do you have any idea if the bedside rails are a factory option or not?

I don't think so, but not for sure. I'm sure someone will chime in and let you know.

as an ole fart and i know something about these trucks,, the rails are after market or add on ,,nice truck and the mag wheels are hard to find so hang on to them,, they are becoming rare .. i found where you can get those type of wheels for over $175.00 ea. so don't give them away.

Looks like riding in the bed would have a "light and airy" feel to it! Cool truck!

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
1972 GMC with '68 hood and original grill 3/5 drop. Original 307 4 speed 3.08 truck. Pulled the 307 out and replaced it with a 6.2 diesel. Was averaging 14-15 mpg, NOW I get 19-20 mpg. It's cheap enough that I can afford to drive it all I want. Many mods to come.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Trucks
It took me 4 days of "goofin' off" time to read through 2,059 posts on here! Well, I did jump off to a few of your build threads, and really enjoy those, too.
OK, now I really have to get to work on my '67 stepper that a pal and I just acquired during Hot August Nights here in Reno.Sparks. You guys are superb inspiration! Thanks for sharing your junk. I'll try to get at least a rough "before" photo up here tonight. |
