Re: 1969 Short Wide
Been working on a job-site for the last week or so and have fallen way behind on my subs. You KILLED the cluster Mike and I think them wheels will get you by just fine for a while. Nice work!!! Let's see some of Landen's work under the dash?

This is the only picture I got of the wiring under there, I can try to get some more. It was like stuffing 10 lbs of flour in a 5 lbs sack. There is a lot going on, especially with the heater ducts. Thanks Dean. |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Update: Got the wiring inside the cab completed, new Vintage air cables and shutoff valve installed from laidbackrecreations (thanks Sarah).
I finished my line fittings up and Kyle was nice enough to crimp them for me. Thanks! Next I purged the A/C system with dry nitrogen to test for leaks. It held 150 psi for about 30 min. Then I vacuumed it down for a few hours. It held good vacuum so I charged it with R134 and PAG46 oil. I have COLD air! Pictures: Engine wiring wrapped up. |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
More from the weekend, I started off pulling my 68-72 power steering gear box. Since I picked up a quicker ratio unit from a squarebody from the pull-a-part a few weeks ago, I ordered a complete overhaul kit. I planned to just reseal and install new bearings it, but I went too far right with the rack, so it got a complete overhaul. I referred to youtube videos by hutchhiperf. He has a whole series on rebuilding one. I also referred to Kevin's thread HERE.

Re: 1969 Short Wide
The interior is really starting to come together and looks real nice. Like the steering wheel. Taking time to do it right pays off and does show up in the results, looks great.
