When you smoothed the firewall. Is there a void between the sheet metal you used and the firewall? Just curious what you did with the seam on upper part of firewall? What gauge metal you use?

I used some fairly heavy steel, about 1/8" thick so it wouldn't warp all to hell, and cut down on the stone chips.. also the master cylinder is bolted to it. I welded it all along the top edge and from the back side through any hole I could find...hope that helps.

I really like the flat firewall. I can't do it because I will need the heat to work. Your truck looks good!

So which truck are you putting the floor pan in? This one does not look like it needs it! Looks like you are working on a 67, 86, and...???
