Automotive grade insecticide? Don't want to be exposing our vehicles to those nasty household grade chemicals

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Now that brings back some memories...
When I was 5 through 7 years old we lived in Olney, Maryland. When the family would vacation, I would sleep half way to Florida up in the rear package tray when we would go see grandma at Christmas. Partly because I liked it but mainly because we had 5 kids and only 3 seats in the back. Pre SUV days. Then we upgraded to a Caprice STATION WAGON! Even better. I got to face the car behind us and stick my tongue out and try to get semis to blow the air horn!!! Good times for sure.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
We survived the pre-safety era. I don't remember kids dropping off like flies. I remember a lot of injuries, including me, but that was mostly because we PLAYED... AND LEARNED! Didn't have mom breathing down our neck either. I don't remember my mom, who was an outstanding mother by the way, being there when we climbed as high as we could in trees or riding our bikes down the road to the swimming hole.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
That is a great idea in the name of safety.
Maybe it was this ad that got people started on calling a substance that will burn "inflammable", when that actually means it won't burn. The double negative "non-inflammable" would be the same as "flammable"... will burn

I don't know If you meant because it was fake or because it was flaming, but I laughed anyway.

I meant a little of both. I wasn't expecting anyone to catch that!

I wonder if car exhaust was ever advertised as a good sleep aid.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Enjoy going back home. For me it's always been going up home. That's what my mom always said going to Grandma's and Grandpa's. Then my folks moved up in the '70s. Just went for a long weekend and I'm wondering why I live down here now.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
sure the heck coulda used your help today..
we got about 6 inches of rain 4th n 5th and driveway washed out pretty bad this time.. so bad night of 4th, neighbors had to take one of our trucks home, their sedan wouldn't make it, culvert down at the bottom of the drive was swamped a foot of water over the road.. anyways, after a little help from the longhorn, I got the 706 out today and made a bigger mess pictures don't do it justice, there's a rut washed out a foot deep on that steeper grade.. I took a stab at it but still need some finishing work.. at least it's passable for light vehicles again.. and fedex freight is due in monday afternoon with the longhorn bed kit Mrs. Bee and kids are off to Ohio for a week to see her family so I'll work on it some more.. had to take a break and give the kids a ride

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Nice truck, guns, and little big tractor... and great son. I'm a red tractor fan
Looks like you are getting the full "back home" experience. Back at it second nature style. That's a heap of rain. Thunderstorms? We've had them every day for about a week. Humidity way up there. They've been hitting in the evening, 1/2" to 1" for about an hour. Last train started falling around midnight and I woke up to rain. Still raining now, which is odd for early July. And just now I'm getting thunder. Feels more like late August or September. You seldom wake up to a rainy day in summer in this area. Future radar shows it right up into noon, maybe longer. They are calling for flash flooding in my area.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Looks like a professional job to me.
If special-K didn't get flooded it was luck. From what I saw on the weather channel it looked like it went right over him.
