Oh and I'm excited about the buddy covers, even my wife really liked them when she saw them in person. She wasn't a fan previously.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Love those new seat covers!
Don't worry about changing your mind, we all do it. I want to drive mine this summer too, and mine is already painted. I worry at my snails pace it may be this fall. I had no clue how long it takes to do one of these restorations, not to mention the pile of cash.... Keep your head up and plow forward. |

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Yeah don't rush it. Kind of wished I hadn't tried so hard to drive mine this year.
I really like those seat covers. I'm stuck between the black/white or red houndstooth for mine. The black/white is by far my favorite but the truck would've had all red interior being its a '67.

Radiator cover is looks pretty nice, before you know it everything will be red and all the hesitation and uncertainty will be a distant memory. Your doing some nice work, keep it up.

The red looks good. The good thing about the bc/cc is you can remove the dirt nibs and orange peel. For me that means that i can do it without much experience. Just work and patience.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Thanks Mike, definitely not this year. Just have way to much stuff to do and not enough time to do it I'm a slow worker and this bodywork and paint will take forever especially on the cab. Probably won't be finished and on the road until next summer.

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
I've been quietly following your whole build like a stalker and maybe I missed it...Can you give a quick recap on what you did to your fenders before epoxing them? Did you sand with 180 and shoot? Will they need any glazing putty or anything before you topcoat? I'm here in my build as well and the bodywork part is kicking my tail.

Thanks Josh, I definitely will be proud that I did everything myself including the paint. I probably will have several flaws though if it turns out anywhere near the radiator cover I will be very happy

Re: Project "What was I Thinking" 68 SWB
Shot some Slick Sand on the fenders today, probably wasn't the best day to do it with it being 95 out but I managed. I could only get one coat shot before I had to clean the gun. Then I shot another coat and just got to the gun in time before it dried like cement in it. Definitely was a learning experience
