Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Thanks for posting that!
I wonder if it's the same truck as the one painted army green, maybe they threw a paint job on it hopping it would sell

Welcome Twisted Noodle. I bought a Triumph GT6+ out of Newfane a million years ago. Just drove through there again this summer on my way from Brockport to Youngstown (NY).

Wow someone else knows of Newfane? That's amazing! Small world isn't it? Who did you buy the Triumph from? How long have you been in CA?

Dieselwrencher - Trip was already made. The C30 made it like a champ. 9.6 mpg wasn't cool though... even though I wasn't expecting anything higher.. lol

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Ya, I sort of fell into the last one and did a frame off resto with a donor wrecked dually. My V3500 was a '90 with a 6.5 and I used a '90 dually to swap everything from the tanks forward to a 454/T400! Took me 7 months, but it was well worth it! Now I almost just want to buy a dually and swap the bed and axles to a fleetside...There are a few duallys out there, but no fleetsides! >

yeah your telling me, the guy is asking $1500 to buy a set of offroad bumpers (and I don't know anyone who designs and builds custom offroad bumpers "extream Sarcasm") so I'm gonna go and look over the truck this weekend and see if the truck is worth a bumper or 2, in trade, if not I'll see what his lowest dollar is, he's not advertising the truck it was just brought to my attention by a good friend who was gonna buy it but couldn't accuire the funds, needless to say one way or another the truck is comming home with me

and already have plans for it, including 6" lift, 37-11.50-16.5 Gaurd Dwag recaps from Tread Write, manual trans+ Np208 (cause it's what I have loose), and possably a Cummins

i had a dually 3 trucks ago and liked it . the novelty soon wore off though as the rear fenders kept getting in the way loading and unloading stuff which i do a lot . like you i didnt NEED one just think they are cool as hell . anyway i always wanted one , had it for over a year and got it out my system .

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Yah, spent a lot of time on the "Niagara Frontier" and grew up right near Brockport. I've been out here about 13 years. Don't remember at all who I got that Triumph from. It was a dark red one ("damnson" I think was the name of the color or possibly just what my dad always called me!) I'd be the Triumph is still either sitting behind a collision shop in Niagara Falls or at my buddy's house in Lewiston.

I went to college at NU (1988 - 1992) though and then lived up there for a couple years after.

I know a dude in Youngstown that's got a '68-ish GMC he's thinking of unloading. Not my truck, just a guy I know.
