Got the new switch in from fedex today. I hope to install it soon. Christmas is coming so may not have time for a while. Here is the mess I got with the wiring as we speak.

Re: 1968

Any suggestions mates: I installed the turn signal switch and everything looks sweet. I only have one problem. The hazard button will go in and work but it want come back out to shut them off. It is easy to push in, so what is the problem.

I can take my little finger and push on the inside of the switch and it trips it off. But I can't pull the switch back out. But that is the least of my problems. I installed a 73 to 87 switch, that has a screw in type hazard push pull. When I screw the button in the switch goes crazy. Like I put my left or right turn signal on and all the lights turn into 4 ways. and the minute I take the hazard screw out everything works great. So I am going to mount a push in type button on the dash for the hazards. Case solved. I am tired of replacing the turn signal switch. This id the third switch for this column.

Re: 1968

Got the dash and glove box door re-mounted and the seat back in the truck. I also mounted the brake pedal bezel and pad. Christmas is near so I might not get anymore free time to work on the ole girl. (patches)

George, don't get to attached to having a glove box. As soon as the Vintage air goes in the glove box comes out and does not go back in.

The truck is really looking nice!

I finally got the C50 on the road by the way. I may have a line on a set of fenders for my rear flares.

It was a card board first, fiber glass over the card board and then re-moved the card board after it set. fits good and will hold up for many years,

George, that's great way to fix the weak glove box! Was it tough getting it back in when it was done? Did you bring it in from the back or the front? I may do my C50's that way. Regrettably the Vintage Air install does not leave much space left. I used my space for the amp for the radio. Ill send you a pic later.

So glad you truck is coming along, I forget is your engine/trans ready to drop in?

It comes in from the back, A piece of cake. The hard thing is to remove the old card board. That took me a while.

The engine and transmission has been in the truck for over a year now. been holding off buying a carb. I don't want gas to set in the bowl and gum up so I haven't got the carb. It was the same as the tires and wheels. Setting there for three years would not be good on the tires, DRY rot
