Me and another guy went in together and bought several items. I think I saved about $500-600 alone. I don't have my paper in front of me where I figured up what I saved. Here is the link to Woodward.com

I thought ya'll might enjoy "my day job" link. Just something else to read.

When I worked at the race shop for Mark Gibson. I saw him lay an argon bottle for the welder on it's side and used the curvature of the bottle to form metal on. Use what you got.

I'm use to it.

Got the equipment home and me and Shannon practiced some.

My first box.

I picked this 16" fan and wiring kit.

Shannon brought over my new condenser since we traded condensers. It fits great.

Thanks Allan. I don't play ball. But I use the bat when ever I can. To form metal that is.

I tried a piece of 18 gauge metal in the 3-1 today. It doesn't like it at all. It wouldn't shear it, but I did get it too bend it.

I made it a point to get something done today. I decided to mount the condenser. I used the old cross braces off the core support for this.

With a lot of measuring and head scratching I had a plan.

My first one (drivers side) is not as pretty as my 2nd one.

All done except for paint. I could finally remove my wood blocks.

Looking for ideas of where the drier and lines should go HERE. I think the drier should go right behind the grill on front of the core support. I plan on running the lines thru the frame rail back to the cab.

Alan, I did mine so many years ago but I think that I put my dryer on the core support, to the left in that picture above. In the recessed area so that it was hidden by the grill. I made sure that it was not above or below the grill when every thing was mounted. I don't have pictures, it was before digital cameras..lol...

I think when you get your brackets painted up and finished, it will be a very clean way to mount the condensor.

I've used the shrinker/stretcher on aluminum so far. When aluminum is stretched it wants top split. I have yet to try it on steel. I bought some 18 gauge and I know the 3-1 doesn't like it. I'll get some smaller gauge metal and try all the tools out. I used aluminum because that's all I had around.
