Re: The Blue Goose
What kind did you go with? Id like to make this one last till march (i'll leave for basic training, maybe they'll let me have a day off to look for truck cabs in S Tx LOL).
I'll park it then, i"ll probably start an entire thread on that..

Re: The Blue Goose
thanks dad! (only will be using this battery for a few months then it'll go in the toyota).
Ps, I need the clip that holds the trim on the door, the clip at the very back of the trim, mines floppy and afriad it'll get broken, dont wanna put a drywall screw in it LOL On the list now is to figure out wehre those wires on the (+) can go (to make it cleaner) and get a battery box patch pannel!

Re: The Blue Goose
trim looks awesome! only one more peice and your driver side is done! do you have all the passenger trim on already? the wires i would just cut them shorter so they run with the battery until they get to the radiator support better.

Re: The Blue Goose

Thanks I pretty much have no passenger trim, I really need the end clip for the trim on the driver door....

Re: The Blue Goose
i only have one wire going to the battery, (I'm not a fan of hooking straight to it) the one that runs across the core support (factory big red wire). It runs to a junction of 3 or 4 big reds on the driver side. heres some wiring dia.

Re: The Blue Goose
From the factory they had a "junction block" It would be on your fender right next to the battery. Also should be a fusable link in there someplace.

Re: The Blue Goose
usmcchevy is right. There should be a small junction block on your passenger fender by the battery, you can see the rust outline where it use to be. Nab one at the JY the next time you visit.

Re: The Blue Goose
Really need to get around to lowering the rear a few inches (2" would be ideal)= 2" drop front and rear, keep the rake, but a slight drop as well

Truck is lookin good! the trim looks nice. I agree the rear needs to be lower. how much water gets in around your tank fill with the grommet missing?

Re: The Blue Goose
Thanks!
I dont really have the extra money for a 2" drop block kit, but I have enough thread on the U bolts for a 1" drop block, but debating if 1" will really make that much difference for the trouble it will take. Something like 2-3 inches would be perfect, but I dont wanna sacrifice towing/hauling abilities. If money allowed id do a dropped spindle and 4" spring. For time being I'll keep saving for a drop blocks/u bolts (Around 70). And be on the lookout for some metal to make a block(s) out of. Ha, I welded the gas hole up, then went back to in cab tank, i think its kinda cool. I wished I could find a halfway decent cab to work on in spare time (mines too far gone I think, windshield, floors/supports, and cowl is all rotten).

Re: The Blue Goose
I know what you mean about extra money, sometimes seems like theres no such thing. and no need to spend much time on a cab thats not worth saving, but it's lookin good anyway. keep it up! I like the name change too.
