Thanks guys, I never thought I would love the trim this much but I do. Even my wife who was against adding the trim loves it now after seeing it. Hopefully I will have the driver side done this weekend, then I can pull the truck back apart to finish the bodywork.

I thought about it but I really love the laid out pic in the driveway. Maybe after I get the driver side trim on, I'll have to push it back out in the driveway for some new pics

Trim changes the whole truck. It really makes these trucks and I believe the trim appeals to the masses

Thanks Eric, I have to admit when I first started my love affair with these trucks I didn't like trim of any kind or emblems or door handles etc... I was completely in that stage where nothing looked right to me unless everything was shaved off. Now I'm building a truck with a factory look to the body with nothing shaved and I think it looks so much better. I guess I have grown out of that stage

Hard to believe GM got it so right so long ago. Best looking trucks of all time bar none. I love the trim and emblems but I've had my share of slick sided steppers. Loved them all.

I think with those wheels and that trim I would be highly motivated. I like the look.

Normally, I'm not a fan of trim, but it looks really good on your truck.

I agree Mike the 67-72 chevy trucks are my favorite truck ever, they just look good no matter if they are lowered, lifted or stock.

I took the truck off the market just trying to sell the 6.0 swap now. If I can do that I think I can hang on to the rest of the truck.

Keith, the trim looks sick. Maybe one day when I stop buying all the other little things necessary to get this thing going I will get trim. Oh yea and some billets also, LOL.

The trim looks awesome who did you get it from? Thanks Paul

That is great news Rus, hopefully you get to keep her, I don't want to see you sell it. I'm jealous of you moving to Knoxville, I'm a huge Tennessee Vols can and always tease my wife about moving there. She's not interested because there is no beach as she puts it maybe next time I drive down for a game I'll stop over for a visit.

Thanks Mike, you could just do what I did and just buy billets and Trim and then not leave yourself any money to pay someone to paint the truck for you

Thanks Paul, the trim is from Mar-K. I bought it off a forum member that purchased it but didn't use it so I saved a little money.

Like everybody else said, the trim really sets it off. I noticed the same thing as you, the trim around the wheel well has to be massaged pretty good to fit. Do you have any tips for getting it installed correctly?

Thanks, I used the 5 screws in the wheel well to get it into the right place and then gently wrested the ends up and into the right position with the body line. I found that if you do it the opposite way, you will have a hard time getting the trim to fit the radius of the wheel well. Hope that made sense and helps out.
