Are you selling the grille? I have a 73 C30 with a 454 in it, and I want to get the original grille!

I couldn't tell you to be honest. The paint faded pretty badly and I got a cheap paint job done at Earl Sheibs 11 years ago. Its a single stage that I just recently polished.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Thanks man!!! its a 1977 Custom Deluxe. 1/2 ton. It's got the heavy duty brakes and leaf springs.

So far I have done a 3/4 drop with a 1 1/4 front sway bar and a Belltech 1 1/8 rear sway.

This year the goal is to get a quick ratio steering box, rebuild the front end and some tubular control arms. The end goal is to have a fun driver that can take some corners on a sunday drive.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Sounds like some good plans. A buddy of mine has a 75 GMC heavy half, that he's building as a pro touring truck. He's already built the engine with a pro charger, 750hp, and a built trans. Now, he's building the frame and suspension. It'll be a beaut when he's done. This is the truck he started with.

There wasn't a spec of rust one this thing when we tore it down.

That is a good looking truck. Eventually I want to swap in an LQ9 but that is further down the road.

Thank you, it took me along time to save and gather parts. After that it took about a year and a half to get restored. I just yanked the motor out now its time for a little more snort. Let me know if you need any help with your build. Love these old trucks

Had this same looking truck (77 as well) when I was 18, rolled it end over end 2 times and down into a ravine 5 or 6 more times. Loved the look of that truck but that sucker tried to kill me...lol

Looks great.

sounds like a wild ride. I'm surprised that you didn't fire that old gem back up and drive it right back out of the ravine.
