What did you do to your truck today part III

The Part II thread is getting huge so we are going to lock that one and start a new Part III thread. This will help with server speed. Post up what ya been doing with your 60-66 trucks, Suburbans and Panels!!!!

I wish I had an update on my panel but knee issues have been keeping me from working on it...

What's ya been doing?

Picked up some NOS axle seals for the posi conversion and only $9 for the set.....what a steal. Paint complete this weekend on cab and will try and get the bed back on tonight.

Will work on door reassembly this week.

Waiting on rain to quit, so I can clean the truck again for Cruising the Coast. Seems like I ever time it's clean I want to drive it, then it rains

Oh well....sorta keeps me outta trouble.

Hey, Palf70Step, saw your visors on the WDYDTYT II thread. Did your upholsterer do those or did you buy them somewhere? If you bought, can you share the source, those look great.

Tinker, took some more measurements. The shocks and bed wood limited. Still room in tubs. 11" at rear most frame.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Can't really say anything bad about Summit Racing. I am sure they have their problems but when I can order something at 3 in the afternoon on Wens and it shows up at my door at 10:15 Thurs. what can I say.. Not to mention if I were to get it at my local store it would cost over $20 more. I guess you could say I changed my idler arm today. It seemed to have gone bad on me. When I was under the truck I grabbed the tie rod ends and found the shop that did my alignment didn't tighted one of the clamps (this is why I hate having someone else working on my truck) so the tie rod was rocking. Maybe that is what caused my idler arm to fail. I dought it but you never know.
