john you wouldne believe how hard a original gas tank no rust is for inside the cab is to find.... you would think everybody putting them in th ebed nice in cab ones would be easy to find... think again... yes drivel shaft. and exhaust and lining the gas tank is 300.

Gas tanks can't be that hard to find in good shape, I have one here
Let me try to get some good pics of it for you. Its off a 72 but it should work with yours if you cap the extra line for evap....

Heres some pics... There is a slight spot or two where there looks like some surface rust. If you used some tank sealer from POR-15 or Eastwood etc, it should be better than new. I think this tank is cleaner than the one on my truck
If I wasnt so lazy I would of swapped it a long time ago Its yours if you want it  I would hate for you guys to get hurt pushing that thing around on test drives or should I say "test pushes"

haha its fine gas i will have to get on my own.... my mom had to go and clean my messy room where knew exactly where everything is and my dad used the last od the rad. coolant so now, coolant and the transmission fittings that the coolant lines plug into are added to the list.
but the gas tank is done for sure. |

ok my plan right now is to do some bodywork get it looking good and also have it so i can start it up in person at Rene's C/10 get together so i have been doing the body work... borrowing a sander from my friends (72supreme) and i have been hamering and dollyíng (lol) and then once its really really close like the thickness of a penny or quarter i use "body filler" (i dont like using the bondo word) im doing the goo bondo work not the ghetto bad job people usually do. pics will come when i can get them and take them

thanks tyler! and that i am today woke up and right away started with more sanding. hammer and dolly work then a tiny bit of bondo... and its looking good! my dad is going to kragens to get tranny coolant line fittings JOHN!!!! haha see when i can i work at getting it running lol.
what do you guys think? 2 numbers matching ls chevy aluminum heads worth 200 bucks for a 67 A/C cab with no doors or seat? good deal? |
