Re: 1969 Short Wide
I've been very busy the last few weeks restoring on my inner fenders. I thought about going the aftermarket route but decided to just bite the bullet and fix these piles of rust. Notice, the previous owner used bondo to patch, I decided steel would be better.
With these pieces, I'm happy to say this truck is 100% GM sheet metal (not including patches ). Hope to install them and get more pics soon. Epoxy primer: Painted: Raptor liner: Brothers.......... or sisters.....: |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Nice job on the inner fenders. What's the copper colored stuff you sprayed on your weld areas, before welding?

You're spot on with the shop. The addition is more of a stable for my trucks and boat. I think the current shop will work so much better without all the extra stuff stored in it. If I had my way, I would just build a nice 80 X 100 with a "dirty" area walled off. 14' walls, a lift, paint booth, man cave, etc.... |

Looking great there Mike!
Those brothers... or Sisters... are from the same mother too. LOL Going to the alignment shop sounds like last details to me. Your long road is getting shorter.

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Long work day yesterday in the heat. Got the new power steering lines installed and the inner fenders, then the K & N filter. Next project will be the fuel filler.
I can't wait to drive this puppy to the car wash and wash 5 years of the dust off the engine..... |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Great job Mike, love the look of the truck and good luck on your shop, must be nice to have a bad A truck and getting a shop as well, wow. Don't pull a Rex(rocketking) and sell this thing, I hope you enjoy it for many years to come.
