Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Nothing! My buddy needed help with his 98 diesel dodge with the silly automatic ghost electrical trans issue.

Man I don't even that thing! I like simplicity in my truck!

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

got the pics of the headlight harness . I mounted the relays on the rad support because the wireing was too short to let me get to the fender and still be able to get to passenger side headlight . I could have mounted it on the other side on the battery box but I wanted to be closer to the main junction for the harness where the alternator and the voltage sensing wires tie in . its also closer to the headlight switch . the harness came with a male plug to plug into the old headlight plug so for now I used that and left the passenger side hanging unused so if theres a problem with the relays or harness I could go right back to the old . I did solder the power wire to the harness at the wire to the battery right next to the factory splice and it has a 30 amp fuse . this winter ill get rid of the old stuff and solder everything and re wrap so it looks factory . when I was changing the bulbs over to the h4 I had one in turned it on what a difference between the two . I took it for a ride last night couldn't believe the difference . all in I got about 60 bucks in the bulbs and harness great upgrade . I want to do led turn and brake lights should help out the electric system real nice

Painted the back half of the frame. About 4 hours later installed the bed for the first time since I started the build (other than mock up), then bolted on my rear fenders. Took a long time to get to this point but today was a good day.

My truck went under the knife to put on new dual exhaust. Went with two of Porters shorty mufflers and I really could not be happier with the sound.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

The Safelite guy came out this morning and treated a rock chip on the GMC that I picked up on I-95 last Thursday. Still see the little pock mark squarely in the center of the windshield but the nickel sized "FLOWER" inside is gone. I paid upfront and the insurance reimbursement check is supposed to be in the mail. First dealing with new collector insurance company. Changed from Haggerty to Heacock awhile back.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Oil and filter...I really have to put that rear main seal in. Not a lot of leak. But, *none* is the right amount.
Found a little drip of p.s. fluid on the lower hose.

Maybe it's time to pull the motor, plug a couple of drizzles, and change to those fresh Vortec 062's.

Put a chock in the bed for the motorized bike.

BTW, in this pic the very rear straps are connected just to take up slack. No tension. Just trying to avoid a "tip". Hahahahaha!

I rewired my front headlight harness and electric fan set up to clean up the engine bay. Also polished the valve covers and air cleaner then drove around town. It's been a good day.

Engine is looking great...who's electric fan setup are you using? I'm thinking about converting mine.

I'm running a flex-a-lite dual fan set up that I could find to cover the radiator. i have no complaints, it keeps it running cool and is trouble free. My set up has been on the truck for several years, I just retorted the wiring to clean up the engine bay.

Finally the ground is firm enough to back the C10 out of the garage. Rain in Florida this year has been non stop and the yard was a swamp.
