I was pretty sure you had lost your mind a long time ago. Now I'm going to have pictures to prove it. Actually this gives a much better visual of what you are doing. Keep us posted on your progress....

Hey, I was just looking closer at those brackets for the booster. Where did you get them? They look awsome!

Tonight I got the first "mini-tub" roughed up and welded. I still need to finish welding it together and then weld in the truck but now you can somewhat see what I'm trying to get out of this latest exercise

Re: n2billet's project 68 "Extreme Makeover" hot rod style

I took a few pics today, hope ya'll enjoy.

I got the booster and master cylinder installed, after I finished painting it a couple times.

I finally installed the lower painted hose.

Got the carb linkage all cleaned so it could be plated next week.

I also finished up the bed mods this week, it's amazing what you will do for an extra inch or two of clearance.

I now need the exhaust back so I can finish installing the rest of the motor pieces. I think Roger is going to order the fuel and brake lines next week or the follow one, he's going to have to do them because I'm sure it would look like total crap if I did them. I might actually get this thing done this year!!!!

Re: n2billet's project 68 "Extreme Makeover" hot rod style

Worked a little on the truck today, just trying to get some of the loose ends tied up while I'm waiting on the parts to come back from the platers.

I started cleaning the underside of the bed in preparation for undercoating before it goes back on.

I bought an old Cal-Custom cover off E-bay this week and used it to cover the wiring block on the firewall (fits my theme that I'm going with). Anyway, enjoy the pics.

Re: n2billet's project 68 "Extreme Makeover" hot rod style

Still waiting on the exhaust to come back but found a few things I could do while I'm waiting (always something to do!)

I powerwashed the underside of the bed, this thing had been undercoated with some sort of super duty rubber snot that look like $%^&* in some places so I got out the crud thug and ground it down to try and blend it the best I could. I went ahead and sprayed yet some more undercoating on it and then painted it flat black.

The funny looking metal part is what I'm making to hold my Air Ride controller. I'm going to "french" the controller in this panel and then mount this to a tube that will come out from under the seat and bend up to this part (if that makes sense?). Anyway this is what happens when your waiting on parts and your so called friend is telling you how cool it will look when done knowing how long it will take to fab this little jewel up and laughing his butt off in the corner while I'm grinding and welding!!!!!

Anyway hope you enjoy the photos........

Re: n2billet's project 68 "Extreme Makeover" hot rod style

Finally got the exhaust back and today I got up to the shop at a decent time and actually got some stuff done. As you can tell in the pictures I got the exhaust on, installed the bed (not bolted down) but at least it's all in one location now. I also got some more motor parts installed today but forgot to take pictures Anyway here's what I got done....... I might get this thing done after all!
