Yeah they looked silver before the tires were mounted but after we put them on his truck, they turned blue!

It's not a bad ole' truck for him either. I gotta start gathering up parts for him though. He's got several things going out on him.

Re: And so it begins................
Ok, got some new pics. My brother in law, blasted and painted my mirrors for me and put them back on the day before the meet. I installed the window tint yesterday. I sanded the hood today and cleaned up my wheels for the first time since I put them on
I need to paint my blower box under the dash. Anyone know what's the best paint to use? I thinik Krylon made a paint for plastic that didn't require any sanding but I don't remember for sure. And who wants to help me prime and seal my hood? |

Re: And so it begins................
The tint is 18%. I bought it pre-cut from retro68 here on the board. He also has 5%.
My rear window came out a little short at the bottom though. I'd order it a little big next time and maybe trim the excess. |

Re: And so it begins................
Looks good man! It's amazing how tint can change the look of a truck. As for the plastic paint. Krylon Fusion is the paint for plastic, but with that piece where it is I think you could just sand it with some real fine sandpaper, and use regular spray paint. I think the results would be the same.

Re: And so it begins................
Maybe, but I'm going to paint the whole thing. Not just the brown section. Probably the hardest part will be getting it all clean.

Re: And so it begins................
If it were me I would shoot it with some satin black. That would look pretty slick.

Re: And so it begins................
Good thing about paint is if you don't like it, you can always paint over it! I've been on a satin black kick here latetly. Plan on getting busy on the engine bay with it.

Re: And so it begins................
Yeah the rustoleum is awesome for metal. I don't know how it does on plastic. Actually I haven't painted much plastic material so I'm shootin blind.
I can't seem to stop myself on this truck. I went down to Palace to look for some primer sealer in a spray can and I came out with 160.00 worth of paint gun and materials................... Who's got a spot for me to shoot my paint in? |

Dang man you need to come shop at my store if you shop like that!
I was reading on that gas tank stuff you got me, and it expired on 05/03/09. Think it's still good or too far out of date? |
