That's quite a spread there. Not only a gated community, but it's so big it's in two time zones. How will you get any privacy with all those trees looking at you? Looks like not a lot of rock to deal with.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Well I better hop in on this facetruck thread with all this talk of cabins and pictures of tractors. Current status is at our cabin up at Red Feathers and here is the view out the back door. They are dredging the lake with front loader to make it deeper and hopefully avoid more fish kills. Man I've been missing being able to walk across the road and get a line tight. Funny thing is we came up yesterday and went from 14 degrees in the city to 45 up in the mountains. Usually the other way around this time of year.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
The IRS decides to audit Grandpa, and summons him to the IRS office.*
The IRS auditor was not surprised when Grandpa showed up with his attorney.* The auditor said, 'Well, sir, you have an extravagant lifestyle and no full-time employment, which you explain by saying that you win money gambling.* I'm not sure the IRS finds that believable.'* I'm a great gambler, and I can prove it,' says Grandpa. 'How about a demonstration?'* The auditor thinks for a moment and said, 'Okay. Go ahead.'* Grandpa says, 'I'll bet you a thousand dollars that I can bite my own eye.'* The auditor thinks a moment and says, 'It's a bet....’* Grandpa removes his glass eye and bites it.* The auditor's jaw drops.* Grandpa says, 'Now, I'll bet you two thousand dollars that I can bite my other eye.' Now the auditor can tell Grandpa isn’t blind, so he takes the bet. Grandpa removes his dentures and bites his good eye.* The stunned auditor now realizes he has wagered and lost three grand, with grandpa's attorney as a witness.* He starts to get nervous. 'Want to go double or nothing' Grandpa asks? 'I'll bet you six thousand dollars that I can stand on one side of your desk, and pee into that wastebasket on the other side, and never get a drop anywhere in between.'* The auditor, twice burned, is cautious now, but he looks carefully and decides there's no way this old guy could possibly manage that stunt, so he agrees again.* Grandpa stands beside the desk and unzips his pants, but although he strains mightily, he can't make the stream reach the wastebasket on the other side, so he pretty much urinates all over the auditor's desk.* The auditor leaps with joy, realizing that he has just turned a major loss into a huge win.* But Grandpa's own attorney moans and puts his head in his hands.* 'Are you okay?' the auditor asks.* 'Not really,' says the attorney. 'This morning, when Grandpa told me he'd been summoned for an audit, he bet me twenty-five thousand dollars that he could come in here and piss all over your desk and that you'd be happy about it!'*

Re: My Facetruck thread.
That's funny. I laughed out loud when I heard it........................30 years ago!!!
Hey, I'm sorry. Really, I am. It's just that I'm angry and confused. I'm angry because I still don't have my cold weather hat day and just outside my door it certainly is a cold weather hat day that I don't have! See? Also confusing is tracking says it is in transit...still in the same place as before!! I thought to be in transit mean you were going somewhere

Re: My Facetruck thread.
I dug up an old hat out of the general grab basket I keep here. I got by a couple years without a warm hat but this year a ball cap won't do! I'm getting soft and am good with that. I've toughed plenty out and now I'm getting more into comfortable. Warm clothes are my friend.
Speaking of cold, I need milk. Time to run to town.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
My son in law was telling me earlier they are going to shut down all outside operations tomorrow and maybe the next day.
I guess they are waiting on a warm hat day. Yes Tim, that joke is older than us.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
When Tim's hat arrives he will still have a need for it.
We are sending him more arctic weather.

Re: My Facetruck thread.
Speaking of arctic weather, found these at a yard sale the other day while visiting family out of town.
It pays to take a walk when you didn’t want to be there to begin with

My hat day... I tell you, I never pay any attention to tracking. It gets here when it gets here and I have no control over anything while in shipment. I try to be more patient than people seem to be these days. So just for the fun of this thread I have been checking on this thing. Confirmed! What is the point of checking tracking? NONE! I would rather not know that since Saturday my hat has been in transit at the same location. I get it, that is where it landed as the holiday began and these people deserve time off. But it sat there all day till 10:30pm. All I know is it left after 3 1/2 days in one place. I would have rather not known that! Says it will be here today. We'll see. Oh the drama

Re: My Facetruck thread.
It wouldn't take a bet for me to on a few desks
I'm kind of bummed. Just got a letter from my mortgage company stating they palmed off my mortgage to another company. It's the biggest thing in my life I bust my butt for and to them it's just a thing to buy and sell. How will this outfit be? I went with Chase specifically to be with a major bank who services their own mortgages. My prior mortgage was sold off immediately to a crooked outfit, very scary experience, so we went through the expense and set-back of refinancing just a year later with one of the big pigs. I'll be so happy when I don't have a gall derned mortgage
