Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC

Hey C10.... Just updating myself w/the latest build info. I'm digging the bumpers & interior touches! Congrats on the mag spread as well.

A couple of quick questions (pardon my ignorance as I'm 'schooling-up' on the subject to help a buddy).... Did any changes have to be made to the S10 chassis other than the mounts? Is the wheel base spot on if a reg-cab lwb or ex-cab swb chassis is utilized? Motor in the OE location w/OE mounts?

Any other particulars to share about the swap?

Re: Project "Poison Ivy" 54 GMC

I wish my truck had the cut out for the side mount spare. This spring I am going to be looking for someone to trade fenders with. Its a shame to cover it up but since you aren't using it, that is a pretty cool and unique way to do it.

If you had a fender to match my truck without the cutout we could trade all day long!! I would pay shipping both ways!!

I guess its a good thing I just renewed my subscription to that magazine a few days ago. I'll keep my eyes pealed for the mailman.

Seriously though, Congratulations. Its always been a dream of mine to get a project featured in a magazine and its great to see a fellow forum member getting honored for his/her hard work.
