Re: My Blue 1957 build
Well, Tommy came up and made me another list of things to do on my truck. Mostly a bunch of little things......checking fitment of door glass, handles, a/c vents and picking out steering wheel. Even need to figure out what horn...... yea the horn. Never even worried about a horn. Haha. Going to Brothers show this weekend for a little last minute inspiration

Re: My Blue 1957 build
I got my horns at Harbor Freight for $12 or $14 for the pair. I've seen the same horns on EBay for twice that price.
Truck is looking good. |

Re: My Blue 1957 build
I thought about making myself a list but was afraid it would be so long it would discourage me.

Re: My Blue 1957 build
I made up a lst like this for mine, thinking it would help. Fortunately I lost it in the paper on my desk and came across it recently. I get like a champ when all but 4 jobs were crossed off. I guess I got more done than I thought

Re: My Blue 1957 build
For me it helps keep me on track. If i need parts to do one task i get them ordered and move on to the next so i constantly am working on something. Parts order just went out so i can keep plugging at it.

Re: My Blue 1957 build
The two center cross sills for across the frame for the bed. Maybe I am wrong. I seen apicture some where they showed them .I will see if I can find the picture. I think there is supposed to be a total of 6 cross sills.

Re: My Blue 1957 build
all of the cross sills are in this picture.
short bed has 4 sills, all different. 1 has step supports on it, 2 is plain, 3 has a step up to match the bed step up and 4 is the big one in back

Re: My Blue 1957 build
Thanks Ogre That's what I got. I looked at one this morning that a friend has, and it had 7 sills and it was a short bed too. My friend didn't know what year the bed was, but thought it was a 57.

Re: My Blue 1957 build
I was there also.
Real nice show. Ran into Bam, Vince (VDog), Alex (Chevyrestoguy), Brad (kustombrad) and a couple of Bams friends. Had a great time. Kim |

Re: My Blue 1957 build
With my kid out of school and having to watch my grand daughter for the summer it makes it real hard to get into the garage and work on it.
Still hoping to get some things accomplished though. Kim |

Re: My Blue 1957 build
The Brothers show looked to be a nice show. It's always nice to meet others that have the same hobbies and interests. Is there a favorite show for those of you in the LA area? I would like to make one of these shows some time in the future. The San Bernardino /Pomona areas are fairly familiar to me. I have been a street rod/ classic truck fan for a long time now.

Re: My Blue 1957 build
Now you know its not cool to be at the same show and not have a introduction. Sorry that we did not get the chance to meet each other man. But it was a nice show.
