I took this photo while riding the Ferry to cross the Columbia River bout 35 miles up river from Astoria Oregon (As a boy I used to live where this Pulp Mill is built now.)

Noodling some ash . The base was about 4 ft in diameter. To big to even think about using the spliiter.

Had to drag it out of the field with the backhoe. I made a pull handle on it pull it with the chain .

Good news is that they have found a strain of ash that is resistant to the emerald ash boar. Seems that some trees in the area survived while others have died

Don't know it was pouring down raining so I didn't stop.

They are just sitting on the side of the road going up Hwy 178 into Rosman NC. Blue ridge mountains are finally starting to change color's here.

Here is another I took yesterday. I used the black & white effect on my phone before I uploaded them.
Those mountains in the back ground are where the old truck was sitting.

Earlier this summer. My 1965 Miss Bardahl 1/6 scale Radio controlled hydroplane next to my buddies 1977 Atlas Van lines. Had a great day racing.

Lebanon valley race track Dover nostalgia drags. Real old dragracing I have a few vids I need to get up to YouTube. Nothing like seeing 50+ year old drag cars running the 1/4.
