Re: Project...praise the lowered
i agree with you.i drive in a leather wrapped plastic molded car every day so its going to be great driving some good ol rattly noisy hot steel for a change
so with the help of a crew of good friends i finally got the cab and front clip sitting at home.its been so long.close to 3 years since i removed it off the 67 frame.i ran out of light tonight but tomorrow i should be able to get the ol girl on the newer frame. im happier then a fat kid in a ginger bread house..

Re: Project...praise the lowered
nope didnt get on the frame last night.im doing this in my driveway so i ran out of day light.but today me and my cousin got it sitting in place today.im so pumped right now to finally get it on the frame.a couple issues ..front of the tank i made is hitting the back of the cab, where the frame starts to rise im going to have to notch it for the rear of the cab to sit a little lower and im pretty sure the hood is not going to clear the engine.so im going to notch the front of the tank, notch the frame, and until i get a ls1 intake im going to have to raise my body mounts a little to clear the engine.also in the pics the front frame rails are not notched yet so it looks a little funky.front wheels tuck great, tunnel clears the trans perfect, trailer fenders are going to be perfect for inner fenders, stock master cylinder is going to work fine.another good day for the build. also i have pictures of my dads engine he built for the t bucket.looks sweet.

Re: Project...praise the lowered
the black red combo looks even better in person.the box still needs alot of work.one is in highbuild primer ready to be blocked, body work is almost done on the other.im going to pick away at them and spend most of my time getting cab stuff done.

Re: Project...praise the lowered
the last couple days i was able to get my frame level ,the body center/level/front clip center and level/lined up the wheel arch with the front hubs, front frame horns notched to fit the rad support, body mounts started, steering column bracket moved and re welded, steering shaft shortened and installed, inner fenders tacked in place and started to plug in and map out miles of wiring.should have it fired up in no time

Re: Project...praise the lowered
haha.to be honest its all plug and play.i labled every plug when i took them appart.im installing the computer and main fuse box in the cab and to do so the only wires i have to legnthen are the ones for the front lights, low coolant sensor ect.hardest part is tucking them up and making mounts for all the computer junk.so no one should fear the wiring.if its labled right.

Re: Project...praise the lowered
well im now a married man.we got hitched on saturday and it was a blast.not your boring old normal wedding.so the truck build slowed down a little.im still doing the slow boring wiring and brackets for moving the ecu and fuse boxes inside the cab.its going well just slow.i should be back at it hard real soon.
