today we repositioned the engine, I think I'm happy with it. tomorrow we'll make it permanent! I think I've been screwed on the intake! I sent him $400, he hasn't answered my email in 5 days. going to contact paypal tomorrow!

Remade the transmission crossmember today, now the driveline is in the right position!

I finally sourced an LS1 intake (minus injectors and rails). Gonna require some creativity With belt routing, the idler pulley interferes With the throttle body.

This is the belt routing we need IOT use the car intake! And we finished painting the intake today.

theres not alot of belt contact on the crank pulley. Usually at 2/3rds of the pulley is in contact with the belt. So under high load from either the ac or alternator could cause belt slippage. Also which direction does the water pump normally turn on the LS? Ive never looked into one, so re-routing the belt might alter the direction of the pumps rotation.

That picture is from LS Simple's website, so I’m sure it’s been R&Ded. I happen to have both those brackets.

we kept running into clearance problems, in the end we decided it would be way easier to rework the truck harness

This bracket allows me to use a GM R4 pancake AC compressor

pic 1. This is the Harness after 5 hours of pulling 8 injector, 2 coil, MAF, IAC, TPS, ALT, and trans circuits. we still have a few left, we’ll do on Monday

Wow, sure am glad I decided to just get the Terminator X Max kit for my LS. Pretty cables all ready to install. A little worried about some reviews that the wires are too short. We'll see!

yeah, I bought a harness for this one but it was for a car intake and wouldn’t fit! Wound up modding one anyway

1.This is the rat's nest of wires we’re dealing with, it’s ever so much harder explaining what to do than to just do it yourself!
2. Here JP combined 2,4,6,8 injecor power into 1 wire
3. Here we are beginning to pin the red and blue connectors, every wire must be lengthened or shortened. All 160 of them!

My hat is off to you, as I have no idea what/how you are doing this.

This is why I like carburetors and distributors, and LS motors (computer controlled) scare me.

They really aren’t that scary, once you understand the function of each sensor. A Wiring harness conversion is actually way simpler than this. But I absolutely hate having the harness run in the side of the motor and I hate the PCM being under hood!

I love them, I buy them in 100 packs on eBay for like $10. Saves tons of time over solder/heat shrink.

don't worry, a lot of ppl are allergic to wiring. #1 symptom is a tingling sensation when you touch them.

that can start an interesting conversation ... LS EFI vs Carb. i have yet to see a dyno shoot-out where the carb didn't make better numbers. now, it's basically negligible numbers for most applications, and there's obviously more to it, but the carb aint dead yet!

i'm actually putting a carb on a 2005 truck 6.0L going into my dad's car this summer. different sound and look from EFI, and retains more of the character of driving the car.
