I ordered a pair of 14" long, 2.5" in/out Stainless Steel Resonators so I can run straight pipes without the annoying "rifling" or "droning" sound that usually accompanies running no mufflers.
I also ordered a Billet dress up kit for my GM tilt column, it comes with the tilt arm, hazard knob, and shift arm knob.

These will take the sass out of that Gen III 5.3L Vortec and leave nothing but the attitude!
Stainless steel resonators, 14" long, 2.5" in/out, with 3" body.

It was a really nice day today, a fair 62 degrees.
I started out with ambitious intentions having no shortage of work to be done, but unfortunately the go juice was lacking.
All I got done today was inspecting the rear axle for possible repairs.
I pulled the Differential Cover off and inspected it for damage, it is wrecked and will need replaced.
I also removed the vent tube fitting because I had a feeling it was clogged and I was right, so I went down and got a new brass one with more thread, I will need to Tap the hole because from the factory they arent threaded, unfortunately I don't have a Tap that size so I will have to go get one before I can button it up.
For some odd reason I can't find a plain jane zinc coated differential cover, everything is either Chrome or Aluminum, if anyone knows where I can buy one please link me.
The Polished Aluminum cover is $75 which is a decent price but a bit much for something that won't ever be seen, by anyone but me.
I don't want a Chrome cover because on a daily driver that is a really bad place to have something Chrome, it won't get cleaned as often as it needs to stay in good shape so it will rust realtively quickly.

I got up late today then I went to help a friend put the serpentine belt on his Ford Escort so by the time I got home at 3pm there wasn't a lot of daylight left, so I cleaned and painted the Steering Column external firewall bracket and clamp assembly.

I got a cover out of the wrecking yard for $15 a few yrs back.
Cleaned it, painted good as new.

The previous owner cut the fuel lines when he pulled the engine so taking Vics advice I made repairs to the fuel lines today using compression fittings.

I am glad to see you doing some work on the old girl. How many fuel line do you need for a rear tank?

From the factory it has three lines.

Hey, you are not going to paint the frame before you install everything. Just asking.

I didn't remove the rust off of the inside of the frame rails only the outside and I did paint them originally but over the last year sitting outside the paint job hasnt faired very well and it will need touched up here and there.
