Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines

Too lazy to post pictures of mine, its in my build thread. Nothing fancy. Marine 250, rebuilt. 30 over. I do want to do the ported head upgrade. Nice shiney Clifford manifold. And dare I say... find someone willing to sell me ( or a chrome shop to chrome one for me) a 2 bbl Chrome old school weber.. and maybe chrome my headers.. Then I'll be happy.

What HEI distributors drop in a 64' 292? Got to be less money than a Pertronix.

I just received this in the mail yesterday from Skip White. Haven't put it in yet. Still working on acquiring the 292. If that falls through, I will put this in my sons 230 instead.

Sweeeet! I am planning to use a clifford 264 cam. Are you using a
lump port head? If not you might really consider looking into it. with the big fuel
injection system(i think your using) a lump port head is reccommended. Number
one reson, a stock head has restrictive flow. If you do a lump port head with oversize valves it makes a world of differance. Remember, no flow no go.
