Re: NAPCO Thread
My dad called those June Buggy's. I haven't seen one working since I was in junior high. They had pretty much gone away by then as most of them were made out of WWII government surplus 6x6's that had the big winch behind the cab. Folks would move one of the rear axles forward as close to the cab as possible, chop the frame off, and make an arch( not as nice as that one has) out of the piece cut off and go logging. We had part of one out behind the barn that we played on as kids. That one is pretty nice shape it still has glass in it.
Thanks for the memories.

Re: NAPCO Thread
This is an example of the ones I remember. Except this one is all gussied up with mirrors, paint and the pickup box. And a second version like the one Special K found.

Re: NAPCO Thread
I remember all the WWII surplus trucks in logging when I was a kid. I guess this is a 2wd June Bug kinda rig:
Speaking of June Bugs, I remember doodlebugs also, mostly on farms. I want one...or to build one. Screw rat rods, come rolling up driving a doodlebug and you'll steal the show Plain: Fancy: Now back to NAPCOs

Re: NAPCO Thread
A few I don't think I saw posted yet. The ambulance (next post) was at the fall 2016 Goodguys in Fort Worth and was beautiful. Great thread, glad it came back to the top.

Not sure I mentioned or if someone else has - I THINK that particular was Tim Allen's at one point (Tim the Toolman from TV).
