Re: My Daughters First Truck
Once we got the passenger rocker off we had a surprise. the pillars both front and rear were toast. so placed another parts order today at Top Banana.

Re: My Daughters First Truck
Wow I thought my floor was hammered but wow! I rebuilt one whole side of mine before I ordered the parts or the other side. I would suggest getting parts from classic parts. The LMC parts I got we're horrible...

Re: My Daughters First Truck
Haven't used theirs yet. the rockers were from classic parts and they fit great. the cab corners and lower fenders are from Top Banana and they look to be a good match wont know untill i get the pillars fixed. i will post here the results. Thanks

Re: My Daughters First Truck
Got some work done tonight. we started cutting the floor out and the lower pilars cut out. Did some test fitting before we do the final trimming. learning some new stuff and keeping my fingers crossed as I cut.

Re: My Daughters First Truck
A lot of the same things I need to do to mine, except I've got a big hole under my gas peddle, too. Nice work, keep the pictures coming, I've got to figure all this out before the time and money come so I don't squander them.

Re: My Daughters First Truck
Nice! I would suggest welding in a bar Inbetween the door jams. It's obviously too late for this side but it helps to keep everything lined up. Once you cut the floor you lose all the integrity and the whole structure moves around. I only figured this out after I did one of my sides, I got it to line back up fairly good but its much easier if you weld in some braces. Once you weld the floor in then you just cut the braces back out. Hope that helps!

Re: My Daughters First Truck
Looks good guys. When Jed pulled his seat today I was relieved that the floor had 0% rust. We will probably need your help when he is ready to do rockers though.
