Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Truck is looking better and better! I think a fatter lip and a lowered stance will really add personality to it!

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Well lord and behold the parts arrived at 10:30 am so I went to pick up the truck and the parts. Of course the order was not complete as the springs are being dropped shipped and I should have them tomorrow. My guys started tearing it apart this afternoon and hopefully it will be finished by either tomorrow or thursday. While there I am going to replace all four ball joints, inner and outer wheel bearings, wheel seals, and inner and outer tie rods just to play safe.. Here are some picts of the progress...

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Thanks!!!!!
Here are some picts from my cell of the progress....the front is already completely tored down...not too bad about an hour a a half...I am just waiting for the ball joints to get here...and the springs for re assembly tomorrow....here are some more picts...Like usual had a hard time with the lower ball joints starting by the damn cotter pins and then having to press them off. Upper ball joints were the originals so we had to grind the heads off of them. stay tuned of more progress....Let me get back out there...

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
The complete front is ready to be assembled back on tomorrow as I did not get the springs yet they are supposed to be here tomorrow. Once the front is all button up I will be moving to the back....I still have to press on the lower ball joints what a pain in the rear, so I am calling it a day as I have a prior commitment tonight...Stay tuned...

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
The lower ball joints were kind of a pain in the butt, so we decided yesterday to leavem for this morning. When you are refreshed first thing in the morning best time to do the job that is a biatch to do. Fifteen minutes and both lower ball joints were pressed in....we replaced all the inner and outer tie rods upper and lower ball joints. We are going to begin taking the back apart since we cant finish the front till the springs get here hopefully they will be here by noon that way we can button up the front. stay tuned...
