I am not sure on the exact differences in the water pumps, but don't see why it couldn't work with some spacers. I do remember reading it they are different lengths.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build

Been a long time since I did some work on the truck. Was able to get a little done this past weekend. I plumb the fuel, installed the exhaust manifolds and a few other small things.

Travis,
Ya goin all-Gucci on us?
Black lines & Black fittings?
No, it really looks awesome!
Great work!
I am kinda confused though, isn't there a return hose from the fuel rail back to the tank?

lol.... and I didn't even wipe the dust off the tank before the picture. I have a later 5.3, so there is no return off the rail on the engine. It just comes right off that corvette regulator / filter.

Sorry Travis,
I really thought that all the EFI's had a return line to the tank in order to regulate fuel pressure and to recirculate the fuel to keep from vapor-locking...But I may be all washed-up.
May be something to think about though...

later 5.3 GM engines had a return-less system on the engine rails. The return is at the filter/regulator on the frame rail before coming up to the engine. Its cleaner in the engine bay, but actual performance is better with the return style system. All EFI's have a return of some style....

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build

Finally getting back to work on the truck. Finalized the mounting of the battery, and now have to run the cables. Anybody have any good ideas of line clamps to hold the cable and other fuel lines & electrical over the notch? I can't seem to find line clamps with a large 7/16" hole, so I can use an existing bolt in the notch.

The interior is getting done as well by Dominick here in Phoenix. He is doing a killer job and can't wait to see the rest. SO far, just the seat is done, but will have the kick panels, door panels and head liner done by the weekend.

Home Depot or Lowes has a good selection of padded clamps and the are a lot less $$ than the Earls ones I have also used the metal conduit clamps they work well just not real trick looking you could rattle can them details black and they would match the frame hope that helps. Built is looking Awesome

That is an AVS battery holder, that we can get for you. I just welded it to a bracket we made that bolts onto the frame using the existing rear crossmember bolt, and 3 new ones.
