Re: A real BadSeed
UPDATE!!!:
I removed the springs from my bench seat to clear the way for my Snowden Foam Kit. Other than that, I've done some tinkering. I had to do some work to my minitruck. It'll be headed to Texas for Lone Star Throwdown in February to show off at the big one and celebrate my truck club's 25th anniversary. Xtreme Lowz |

Re: A real BadSeed
I made some custom bed braces. I had my buddy Dan at DotLow Rides in Texas water jet the sides and I did the rest. I'm happy with how they turned out. They aren't bolted in here in the pics. The fronts were moved back a few inches.

Re: A real BadSeed
Dude this truck is insane. It's one thing to have killer ideas but not many have the talent to make them a reality, great job on both engineering and execution.
Also genius idea on the sheet metal break with the hydraulic press, I may need to borrow that one. I'm subscribed till the end on this one

Re: A real BadSeed
Really nice build, excellent craftsmanship all around. What software do you use to draw up the parts your buddy water jets out for you?

Re: A real BadSeed
I started mounting my AirLift 3H sensors. The rear sensors mount to the side of the frame with some tapped holes. On the lower Link bar I mounted a tab with a 1/8" hole.

Re: A real BadSeed
I also got the access doors mounted. I welded them in, but not in this pic. These are in the frame right behind the cab. How do I flip images?

Re: A real BadSeed
Hey there. It's time for an update. I wound up moving my mirrors up. I like the new location. I have a piece of C-channel that I've drilled and tapped to receive the mirror mount screws on the inside of the door skin.

Re: A real BadSeed
I'm designing a cantilever battery bracket to hang off the side of frame and house my big ass'd batteries. I'm doing 2 of these, one on each side of the truck. metal: I design it and draw it out. Then I'll send the dimensions to my club brother in Texas, and he'll send me the pieces. DotlowRides

Re: A real BadSeed
The cross-country DotLowRides Laser cut cantilever battery tray parts have arrived. There was a good amount of mill-scale on them so I made an acid bath. Here's a step by step in pic form for ya.

Re: A real BadSeed
I mocked up the pieces to see how we did. I like it. I will finish these off just like the bed floor braces.

Re: A real BadSeed
***P.S., you'll need a bucket of fresh water to submerge the parts in after the acid bath. That will neutralize the acid. It will also cause premature rusting, so blow off the water with a high pressure hose.
