Looks great. Your really getting it done. I cant wait to paint somthing. I see you still have that one wire still in the wrong spot. In that one shot it looks like your windshield is in.

Re: Tommys66 Build

been working on my wiring harness. I bought a 18 circuit harness from hot rod wires, and a relay kit from current performance for under hood circuits.(fans, horn, fuel pump, power to engine harness). I am open to any questions for the wiring, but I do not plan to give a detailed description of the install. Most of my information was gathered from lt1swap.com

I used Hot Rod Wires on a 63 Studebaker recently. I hated them. I wish I went with Easy Wires. How do you like the Hot Rod Wires so far?

Well I thought the instructions were crap...I realize it is a universal harness, but there was very little direction. Besides that it was complete with everything i needed. I do think the EZ harness is comparable, and alot cheaper. I bought the hot rod harness on impulse at a swap meet though.

Re: Tommys66 Build

Got my gauge panel built, minus the led indicators...I used the original face plate, drilled the holes with a hole saw, and covered it with a vinyl film from oreillys. As for the outer bezel, I bead blasted it, then slightly polished with never dull. the finish looks like brushed aluminum.

here is how i mounted the PCM. I cut the bottom off the original mount and made some angle brackets to bolt it to the fender.

Re: Tommys66 Build

Got a brake booster and master cylinder assembly from a late model silverado. I have 4 wheel disc brakes, so this set up should work well. I hope I have it laid out right!

Re: Tommys66 Build

I believe from 99-06 are the same. In 2005 GM went back to drum brakes on the rear, but the difference is in the proportional valve.

Re: Tommys66 Build

got the brake booster/master cylinder mounted, and all the brake lines ran. I used a prop valve from a 04' tahoe with 4 wheel disc.

Installed the gauge panel, and steering wheel. Im not sure what the steering wheel is off of, I picked it up at a swap meet.

I also had the inner fenders powercoated super wet black....nice shine!

Wow, Truck looks like its coming along really nice. I like how all of your work makes the truck look like it came from the factory that way. Wish I had the time and money to do mine like that. Way to go.
