Nice work on the truck. You also keep your work area very neat, I wish I could say the same!

Good luck, Rg

Re: I am from the Desert

job, weather, holidays, grandkids all getting more attention and then when I do get at it lots of redundancy ...big word for me but explains what it is.... put the boards and strips back in and all the bolts make sure everything lines up measured again to see if it remained square.....marked on the boards 8 mounting positions on the cross sills for drilling from underneath then took all boards etc. off again finally ill ask some friends come buy before the weeks end and we will put it on the truck put all the boards etc back and locate the fuel fill tube and mark for drilling hopefully it ends up centered in the board ...tiring but worth it in the end will bring this phase closer to complete

Re: I am from the Desert

It's been a while since I've checked in. Looks like you are still making some great progress, despite any obstacles in the way! I'm looking forward to seeing a full shot of this truck once it all comes together.

Re: I am from the Desert

Did you have to elongate the holes in the front panel of the bed to get the top of it to line up with the bedsides? Mine looks to be about 1/4" too high.

Hi Roger,
I bought a entire repop bed and lucky for me mine lined up almost perfect It would have been a shame to have to elongate them and then try to conceal that mess with the 2 at the top are threaded in and then the additional down each side( I used stainless pan/hex head bolts seen in the pic). I did put it all together for fitment purposes before I sent it for paint Im going to dig out some pics of my original bed was OEM and see if that one looked like yours
regards
Jess
PS I taped them up on the outside of the head board (what you see blue and white tap) so as not to scratch the cab. I have to remove it one more time before perm install
