Re: SPID Picture thread?
It has the HO72 rear and and eight lug all around. The truck also has 18 in wheels which aren't listed. But it has the 18in spare listed.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Here's a SPID for the record that shows factory outfitted tow hooks on a Cheyenne (and therefore w a chrome bumper).

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Its not unknown and being Custom Deluxe makes it even more likely than say a Cheyenne or a Super.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
That's the second one I've seen with Turbo Hydra-Matic misspelled, mine being the other one- a "U" instead of an "I" in the last word.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Just as an example of my last post. Of the 1970 Freemont 0Z SPIDs I have data from several show it. Roughly between 125800 and 167800 are the only examples showing it though. Sounds like a code or printer problem. If yours (and anyone else's) is outside that range I'd be interested in adding data points.

So being as your is such a low number I'd say it was a 9/69 build. What date are you showing on the block ID stamp and did you find a broadcast/build sheet? See posts 202, 205 and 210 for the back story here.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Typical Western Canadian farm truck. 250 six cylinder, gauges with a
Turbo 400 and the optional wood floor box. Not too sure about the J63 brake shield option with drum brakes. Sorry about the poor picture quality. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: SPID Picture thread?
This is a great resource and I can understand not wanting to post a VIN. However if at all possible, those that do edit their pictures or cut off the top, it would be really appreciated if you would state the plant and model year. Chevy examples would be 2Z,1S or 9A. It helps me to track changes between years and plants.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
SS Tim, I posted one that's on page 6, it's post #148. I was wondering what the "Georgia Power Company" was? Did other utility companies have there own codes?

Could very well be that the AA code is for special paint though.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Pretty normal truck, only thing that is weird thing is that the truck has a 14000lb gvw plate but has no options that say it should have it.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Your truck was probably rated at 14k as it has the Z51 rating plate (build sheet code) and not the lighter 10K plate found on R05 chassis cabs. But like you say it does not show a supporting tire RPO or the H22 axle required for the bump. Does it have the HO110 axle with ten lug rear and five lug fronts?

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Then it was a 10K truck. The spare and carrier were options on chassis cabs with R05. It has the R05 included maker lamps though? If you look up the load chart in the drivers handbook you will see it requires the H22 option for the 14K capacity. Looks like the load plate was a missbuild. Have seen a few pickups with the incorrect 10K plate vs the correct 9K too. As unlikely as it is does your truck have a build sheet or Protect-O-Plate?
