And only about half of them have anything to do with this thread!

Im also guessing if you called that sweet yellow truck a "rat rod" to the owners face he may correct you & you would walk away wondering why he sounded so pissed when he told you that...

I would call it a rat rod, just because those wheels look like rat rod kind of wheels, IMO.

I do have to agree with corn though, there's a bunch of trucks that don't fall into that catagory.

This one for example, it is in no way is a patina'd, shop logo'd, or rusty truck.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?

I re-acquired this truck a while back.Been searching for original ochre fenders, hood and tail gate. Was wanting to have someone paint "Dino's bar and grill" on the doors because I always dug Phil Linott of Thin Lizzy.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?

If anyone is interested I just made up a 16 month (September 08 - December 09) Shop Truck calendar.

If anyone wants a copy please pm me and I will email you a copy. It is in .pdf format so it should be easy to open and then simply print.

I am leaving on a 5 week vacation later this week so if anyone pm's me by Thursday at lunch time I will email you a copy.

File size is 1.01 MB.

Warning **** not all trucks are 67 -72 and not all GM's! ****

WOW! That picture almost looks like a high def rendering. The way the light shines off the metal. Kind of looks angelic. Sweet pic!!!

Here's my younger brother's '51--yeah it's a poser pic, but it's the only one I've got. Original paint and the dump bed still works:

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
