Re: Project 7deuce
Nice looking truck, I like that hood trick. Used to have one of those Le Sabre's but sent it to the yard after the engine blew, wish I would have saved the hinges after seeing your truck
I know how the burned out thing goes, starting to come out of it slowly myself. Keep up the great work |

Re: Project 7deuce
Yeah it's a bummer when you have to keep up everything. Like I said in my post 1 day then another they all add up to a completed build, keep plugging away.....Jim

Re: Project 7deuce
Hope you get more done than me, I pushed mine out into the driveway after church, looked at it for about ten minutes then pushed it back in. It's 104 here today. I thought I left Arizona

Re: Project 7deuce
Eric (es67chevy)thanks for the poppers they seem like the will work with a little effort on my part... I did have to modify the mounting plates for them and I am thinking a little softer spring will help them work to there potential.. I also broke out the avs door releases,I have not installed these yet but they sure seem pretty nice kit comes complete with all cables and hardware..You can see where I had to take my dremel tool and grind down the welds on the backside of the poppers to make them fit flush.. My stainless screw store was closed today so I used some craptacular scews from the junk bin.. The poppers came with screws but they were weak sauce..

Re: Project 7deuce
Finished welding up my new rockers finally.. These have been stuck on the truck for close to a year and now they are finally welded one and some rage applied to smooth out the cab corner to rocker joint. Here you can see the spacer I used to shorten up the door poppers... Welded up a large crack /tear in the passenger side door.. At some point before we got the truck someone had some rockin spark-o-matic 6x9's in the doors so I finally put on another coat of rage to smooth them back out...

Finally managed to locate some new caps off e bay for my wheels 52 bucks and they still dont look all that great... Also started sanding the cab roof seam, this took most of the day and just need to transition the corners to make them smooth..

I wish man. I've lost complete motivation. All I've done is pulled it to work in hopes of making it a runner..
