Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
Awesome bunch of boxes there! I'm extremely envious of your tower of boxes in that pic. That's all that I'm waiting on next for my build is funds to collect some suspension and brakes. Good luck on the install and remember post updates with your exciting new installs!

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
Thanks Rusbuilt if I had something wicked to sell at the moment I would in a heartbeat, but the last part from the cummins donor truck just went out the door so i guess im stuck waiting on the call the return to work.
Those parts must mean more now that they came from making a sacrifice like that rather than just a cash buy, they are definitely well deserved. I imagine I wont be making much progress until fall/early winter now. A dually conversion would be sweet, the only gmc cummins swap I seen close up in real life was a friend Denny's truck(bought from Ryan Bambach) : '89 gmc crew cab dually with a BAD ARSE 12valve in it. Denny now swapped the 12valve and put this engine in his drag truck, he daily drives this dually around. The hood stack is awesome riding shotgun, If I find a link ill post his truck. I hope this gives your some inspiration to one day build a dually converted chev/gmc maybe just not this intense lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=9PjQlcBVhRk

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
Ok had some time to spend on the truck this afternoon... I got it back down on the ground, I still need to make my shock relocation brackets and install new brake lines and shoes and wheel cylinders.. but it rolls and I made progress so I'm happy.

I posted some questions on my rear suspension here. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=528659 Post 11 is some pictures from a guy that made his own if you need some ideas on your shock relocator brackets.

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
do you have the link for this whole setup? I'd love to do individual company stuff (Wilwood, Hotchkis, etc.) but if it's decent to do and they do the whole setup that would make it painless

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
I did have to buy a deluxe rear end kit also because I was converting mine to 5 lug and I was using a leaf spring rear end so I needed custom perches to weld on to accept trailing arms. One thing the kit did not come with that I wish it did was a shock relocation kit.

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
I assume those are just mock up pictures?
I don't see any welds on those axle saddles. Make sure you check the pinion angle prior to welding.

Re: Rusbuilt's 68 C-10
Oh yes, just mock up. I have to check my pinion angle and tack weld my perches to the axle, then pull it back apart and weld it up!
