Took off early today, weather was beautiful, made some progress

Got the radiator install and test fit the inner & outer finder. Clearance is good with suspension on the bump stop.

Thanks for checking in. I should be able to spend more time on the truck and I am really looking forward to the warmer weather.

Almost time to start this puppy and start on the body just the front fender mock-up got me excited

Finished mocking up the exhaust, now lots of practice with the TIG, got my first shock tonight . I know it's not exactly professional but it's my creation

It's a magna flow kit made for this truck. But it's for full length headers and stock cross member and I don't have either. It came with a X member but I couldn't find a way to make that work up inside the frame.

Are you going to put turn downs after the mufflers and dump towards the ground in front of the rear axel? Or are you going to try and go over the axel and dump out the rear?

Spent the weekend getting use to tig welding. Lots of really ugly welds but finally got the hang of it. Welded the stainless exhaust pipe. I really like tig no smoke and no splatter.

Fantastic build! Clean..clean..clean. Lots of quality work and excellent photo documentation. Keep up the great work. Love the shop too. Can't wait to get the new shop completed so I can start on several builds here.

I agree if I can find a spot for the tail pipe to exit I probably will, don't really want the droooooan. Not a lot of room as I see it right now

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Made some progress tonight. Got some temporary wiring hooked up. Dakota Gauges are hooked up. Turned the motor over to prime it and had oil pressure

The bad, radiator has a small leak at the bottom, power steering hose (pressure side) leaks like crazy.

Tomorrow will power up fuel pump and check for leaks there. Don't guess I can start until the power steering hose leak is fixed.

It was good, no oil pressure would have been really bad.

That's why I'm doing this now. The frustration was the radiator is brand new and the leak is at the bottom tank joint. And the power steering leak was at the new swivel joint that the hose shop installed.
