Re: 66 SBFS street truck
I have my one piece driveshaft ready to go back in....but I am waiting to get everything else in first. Now that i have a hoist I don't want to bang my head on it......lol . Anyhow the black yoke is rated at 600 Hp the smaller yoke is a factory replacement. I thought I would just show the difference because that black yoke is actually way bigger and heavy duty.

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
I been working my A$$ off In the shop during the day and pulling wrench on the hulk at night.....But there is good news, I have the complete fuel line in now and i finished running the brake lines about 20 mins ago....There isnt any brake fluid in the system yet . But with no fluid in the system there aren't any leaks either soooooo lmao. Tomorrow i plan on hanging everything a little bit nicer and maybe even get the brake pedal in ( I think thats important ) I am wondering at the moment if there is even a rod in the booster....Man so close so far....Ordered the shifter this afternoon and i hope to see that soon.

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
Well the board has made it bit farther then the picture shows as of today but it's complicated for sure. Project X has more options and wires then anything we have ever done before. The hulk truck has a ton of wire in it yet we were able to use a aftermarket harness and fuse block. That Project X truck has twice the wires the hulk truck does....

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
Have you noticed the ceramic coated exhaust system has made a difference? temp, volume of exhaust note?

It seems to keep the heat in better ...I notice it doesn't pass the heat up to the cab floor as bad ....it sounds bad a$$ but i dumped it out early and I went with 2.5". It does stay hotter longer...So if you run it for a while and then go to some work down by the exhaust it will get you longer then you think. ( got me twice and have the burns to prove it ) But it sure looks wicked and I am doing it again shortly on two builds.

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
On a differnt note here is the updates.....
Went to a car show last weekend with the boys and we met really early and where at the show for 8 am. There were about 8 trucks with us and well I bought a 14 pack of Tims coffee ( thats the $hit for us canadains ) and well there was a incident with a bottle of baileys myself and a other board member here lol....so after that was gone we stepped it up to cranberry and well of course mixed that too . Now i don't want to give anyone the wrong imrpession of how we roll because thats not usually how it goes. But by 11 am I was done and ready to nap ...LMAO..So 4 hours later I was sunburnt...hot...and hung over and the show was almost over so we booked outa the show and headed home. I made it two blocks before i caught up to the rest of the trucks and they were all pulled over on the side of the road. They inform me that a raffle ticket i had bought took the second prize......Which long story short I won a 18 foot car trailer .....So even with a hang over it was a great show....

Update 2
Hulk truck is awesome I love it and it drives like a brand new ride...lots of people seem to dig it and like the sinsiter Green combo . Update 3 Two part.. 1962 Milk truck should arrive next week and i am pumped to mess with it and infact I am thinking of pressure washing the grime off it and seeing if i can get it to actually fire up and run.... Yes I bought a 1970 short box big window thats already been started and that i should get in a couple of weeks.....

The 70 is going to be so low it leaves sparks.....I still have that 383 crossram set up that was dyno'd at 500 hp.....that would move it....but the LS stuff rocks so I am torn on that ......lol...I have been thinking about doing a wrap for it instead of the usual paint thing....but it's too early to say right now for sure

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
LMAO.....
Nope...But i can tell your the guy to nudge me on getting the build back on track .....I built 3 other trucks inbetween this one and the pro truck including my hulk truck. But i pulled this one out of storage thursday and to took it too the big show on the weekend with 6 finished trucks and another project . Both projects trucks got shot a magazine and the want to come to the shop to take some more pictures so i guess i need to get my act together on this one in a hurry . I have been doing 3 cruize nights a week but this was my first booth and it went completely crazy...Thanks by the way for asking it's that kind of thing that makes we want to get on my builds.
