Hey Chris, the new wheels and tires look great! I like them a lot. I heard they are pretty nice for the money. I assume you got the polished finish? Try meguires aluminum polish it works pretty good. LINK LINK.

I was wondering if you have the paint code for your white paint too?

The Streeters don't have the best shine but for the money they are pretty nice wheels. I ordered some California Purple to try on them...

I started to clean up the gauge cluster and work on getting it in decent condition to put back in. Waiting on some parts...
Is there a way to reset the odometer???
Nice, what make and model number are those headers??

Mike the paint code is the original 510 on the blue and 521 white (ppg code).
The wheels are polished and for the money they are very nice I think.... Sure could use some of those center caps.... (hint, hint...)

I have some of that polish u linked to already. Thanks

I actually ordered some California Purple.. or something like that it's supposed to be really easy to use... We shall see-

Thanks for the paint code. I am planning on using the same scheme as yours except red. No problem on the center caps. Just a matter of waiting........

Thanks, they are Sanderson

D-port header... I got them from ECE. They are the same as those listed on ECE web just these are for the D-port. Nice finish and they fit perfect so I was able to run the entire exhaust thru the frame.

OMG I am SOOOOOO jealous! I wish I had even a fraction of your skill and budget! My 72 has quite a few things that were hidden from me when I bought it and I want to do so much to it but I have absolutely no cash to do anything to it and no skill when it comes to mechanical, body, or paint work. Great job on your truck! I am really excited to see the finished product!

TRUST me when I say.. I don't have a lot of any of the above really. No job on the steady... No wife... you get the picture.

Everything I do on this thing is a learning experience... this board cost me a lot of money! Your truck is awesome just pick somewhere to start and the fun begins.

Re: 72 Not sure what to call it yet resto!

Man I worked my tail off today with my our body guy (James)... 32 inches this, move this, shim this...then move that again. Do it two or three times and look at it again.

Sorry no pics until tomorrow or monday. The more I work on this truck the greater respect I gain for a quality built truck. It's a lot of work and this truck is nothing compared to some on this board.

Have a good weekend.

Thanks for all the comments fellas.. Here's a pic of the before and after thus far. Getting the front end all together this week and try to set the bed also.
The biggest problem at this point is the frame rails in front of the crossmember need a little attention. The right side is 2 inches off... stay tuned.

Re: 72 Not sure what to call it yet resto!

Okay here we go... I've been bolting the sheet metal back on.

So far everything is going pretty well. I have everything bolted together and put the inner fenders in place this afternoon. James (body guru) is going to come on Saturday to help with any alignment issues I can't get. The doors are actually working well.... I can't believe it! Seems like I need to shim the back of the drivers side (cab) and the front of the bed to get it level. Any advice the cab or other please let me know.

My Dad wasn't to keen on me lowering the truck until he saw everthing going together... He changed his mind in a hurry!
Perfect for a seat he said...
