I don't care if it matches the stock mat. I just want a good, thick mat that fits the curves of the floor and covers the floor and rides up the firewall.
Where did you find yours Kieth? PM me if you think it is better.

Thanks! I'm really glad to have a permanent record of the build. It's really neat to go back through and relive the process.

Pics coming today. I had a bit of a test drive snafu yesterday and ended up coming home on a tow truck, but I think I have the issue worked out. I figure those things are all part of the process.

Time for the big reveal. I'm still waiting on the tailgate, fuel filler cover, and seats to be finished up, but I've got it running good and have been doing some tentative drives around the neighborhood. It still needs to have the panel gaps adjusted one more time, and I need to spend a lot of time checking for loose bolts, etc.

To say the least, I'm on cloud nine.

Thanks Alex. It handles really well on the road too. The front sway bar made a big difference.

Thanks everyone! I'm taking it up tonight to get some help on final sheet metal alignment and buffing. Things are going really well so far.

The only problems are that my factory reproduction tach reads about 400 rpm's too high across the board. I haven't been able to find any reason why. I've gotten mixed responses as to whether I should be able to get it work with the HEI unit. I hooked up my old tach and get the right readings....

I must've also gotten the wrong speedo gears, since it reads about 10 mph too high.

Other than that, I've been having a blast!

Popped in to check it out and got to see the killer finished product!! Looks great!! I think the hard part is ironing out all the little stuff.

Thanks! I'll be chasing down little things for quite some time. There are some things i'd like to do a little differently here or there, but nothing major. I'm really looking forward to finishing up the interior.
