Re: project (sweet pea)

Is that a reflection off of the firewall or did you put green pearl over the black booster?

Re: project (sweet pea)

i had it in single stage black......But it reflected to much in the firewall......so i just added a lil bit of color in the clear coat. Not sure if i like it or not....? But the black was just to much against it......

Re: project (sweet pea)

Well after Mike question my brake booster....lol.......i re-shot it black, but added a flatner in the clear this time.....It does not reflect as much in the firewall now.........I also got the the hole drilled in the firewall that i didnt want to do.....( steering column brkt ).....And for the most part i got the inside of the cab ready to spray.....I had to do some glaze work in a few spots.....Also got the jambs ready to prime .......Along with the rockers and car corners.......I hope to shoot the inside of the cab, one night next week or next saturday.......I will get pics as soon as i can........Batteries went dead in the camera..........

Re: project (sweet pea)

Well small update is better than none at all. the last few weeks with baby showers and trying to get as ready as we can be for our first born. has left little time for truck stuff....Which is fine it will be all worth it once she gets here.....Anyways....I got the tilt column (from jamie72) all done .Painted (code 519) silver....Cleaned all the wire connections, and painted all the levers black....I bought some billet levers a while back and with the silver column it was a little much...so i just sanded all the chrome off everything, etched primed, sealed and painted all black.....I also got every lil bracket i could find not painted and got them all painted black also.....Then with the bad news LHM and RNG gave me i had to drill into my firewall to mount the column support bracket....That was a little nerve racking to say the least....I spent a lot of time on that firewall and did not want to make any mistakes....At any rate i got it re drilled and i just added a nut on the inside. I removed the welded nut from the factory....but i think it will do the job with out any problems.....I also got the proportioning valve mounted up, with a new M.C....I did a small side job with my local napa guy and got those parts free....Not sure what they would have cost new....? but for about 45mins of my time it seemed worth it for a new (not a reman) M.C and Proportioning Valve.....Anyways here are a few pics.....I hope to get back on the cabs bodywork and get it all edged in ....Hopefully i can get some more time out in the shop.? Its killing me to see what this color will look like on my shaved dash..........
