How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Here's a few of mine... just before heading off to the paint shop. Will post more soon of when she's done.

What brand is all that diamond plate bedrail trim and how does it fit? I bought just the tailgate piece from LMC (smooth not diamond plate) and haven't put it on yet because it appears to be exactly the same size as the top of the gate, making it too small to fit properly. And with my new paint, I'm not gonna screw it up to find out. |

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Kenny, I haven't got a clue as to what brand it is, but it could use some adjustment to fit properly. I know the smooth trim piece that you are talking about, as I had to remove mine to attach the diamond plate one. I have an idea, but I'll send you a PM so I don't get yelled at.
Thanks Benjamin.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
New to the site. Here is my pride and joy.
A 1977 C20 3+3 Silverado with 454 / TH400. Purchased from estate sale in 2003 with only 62,000 miles. Has 85,000 now. Only needed tune up, carb rebuild and a new set of gas tanks due to sitting. Been a great addition to the "family". Installed the red Camper Special wheels from my '76 C20 2dr that was virtually the same color. My children nicknamed this one "Stretch" for obvious reasons. Need more 3+3's here!

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Every time I get on here I keep seeing trucks that make me drool. Keep up the good work guys.
Time for another update on mine. Today, I went out and bought my CB antenna's and last week I mounted my spare tire carrier and spare. I think it's looking better everyday.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
its half ton w/ a factory 454. all loaded and all works, even the old vacuum cruise. i bought from original owner. he had an old fishing camper and full wheel covers on it. i had the ralleys and white letter tires on another truck.
It drives like a dream. a close approximation of my high school hot rod (except that one was a 350). In 1977 Car Craft magazine said this truck was faster than a Burt Reynolds T/A. it is still pretty fast w/ 114K on it. here are some befores and some of the inside. I want to get a Blazer back bumper and new dual exhaust. other than that its a driver. |
