Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
Those were the wrong pics. It still looks the same. I am getting ready to drive the camaro to a local car show this weekend. There should be some nice rides there. The show is at Imboden Arkansas 8-16-14 this weekend. It starts at 9 am

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
The show was good!! There were about 130 cars or so. My wife's camaro ( that's what I tell her) got a 1st place. She was happy.

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
Thanks! The show got me wanting to make some progress on my truck. So I started taking the bed apart. Man that is a job! 95 degrees is almost to hot for me but I made a little progress.

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
yesterday was hot… changed oil in the daughter's car, moved all my steel scrap so I could relocate the frame I got from ya… getting ready to rip it apart for clean & paint...
Then helped my son with some motorcycle chain maintenance and check his GF's car to find a fried pass door window motor… so no truck progress as the heat had me wore out by that time... I do believe summer in Arkansaw has finally arrived... Glad to see you make some progress...

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
Finally got some shop time. Stripped the cab down getting everything ready to take to get sandblasted. Also did a test panel for the color of the truck. I was thinking grey with a red or black stripe. What do y'all think?

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
The color looks good in my opinion. I think black would look good with it....red depending on how the rim/tire combo looks. Nice job on the disassembly and should be quick work to get it all back together!!!

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
Thanks 63. I have not ruled out a black stripe either. The interior is going to be grey seats along with most of the metal. The carpet will be black along with the center of the doors, steering column and bezel. So I have thought about a black stripe and maybe some black in the bed.

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
The Wife is home and I'm back looking around a bit...
Diggin' the Grey, I'd go with a black or Red stripe...

Re: Newbie with a 65 Chevy
I brought the truck home from getting it sand blasted. I have a few more places that will need some rust repair but not that bad. I will post some pics up later.
