Re: 66 suburban aka the sub
Great find on the NOS taillight lenses. I lucked out the same in the late '90's in Phoenix. Found a left and right in the original boxes at Pioneer Classic Autos. Keeping them in a gun safe for right now. On another subject, what diameter is your driveshaft? I'm going to be going to a 1 piece on my Sub, when I change to a TH400.
Keep up the great work! |

Re: 66 suburban aka the sub
that's the look I'm wanting on my Sub. Looking to trade my 5 lug truck rallys from an 86 Suburban for 5 stock 5 lug rims that will clear my 72 discs on the front, and get some hubcaps. Lookin' great!

Re: 66 suburban aka the sub
If you havent decided on the dash, look at the Dakota Digital VHX...
Also, dont worry about wheels till you get the truck running and driving. Its easy to swap wheels... |

Re: 66 suburban aka the sub
Well a slight bit of progress a couple of early Christmas presents got the radiator mocked and mounted went with a Chevy Impala Ls style radiator with the correct upper and lower hoses and steam line already plumbed.picked up some hoses and that parts all done.Done away with the upper mount, chose to lower radiator and mount it directly to the core support, should tuck up nice once I reinstall the two upper core support extensions, radiator also came with fan,so I installed a relay tied into my already supplied fan wire that came with the harness tied in the psi pcm fan wire bingo should work like a champ

Re: 66 suburban aka the sub
Is the engine start switch just to engage the starter or does it also energize the ignition?

Re: 66 suburban aka the sub
Hi Captain Fab it just activates the starter once the igntion is turned on it doesnt do anything until the key is turned on.They do make one that actually works to energise the ignition and start the veh both, its pretty pricey though
