It's so cool that you put the frame bracing on the inside of the frame and left the outside smoooooooth! It's the best kickup I've seen. Nice work. I'm interested to see the use of rivets too.

Nice panhard bar bracket. Curious - What will keep the panhard bar from sliding up and down during agressive cornering, besides tightening it until star tight?

Re: 68 pro touring, auto cross c10 (mid life crisis)
How much of a kick up did you go with on your rear frame or is that determined by the ride height you are shooting for? Best work I've seen This is exactly what I want to do with my 72 SWB. Any input would be appreciated

Re: 68 pro touring, auto cross c10 (mid life crisis)
thanks, thanks, and thanks! bcutt, i raised it for ride height and travel. my last truck was c notched and had no travel. thud, thud everywhere i drove it. now i can have the stance i want and 5-6 of travel. i am not a fan of the raised floor but i want to be able to drive it. it ended up being a 3" raise with a 2" notch for the axle. i have a 3/4" bumper coming today to put in the c notch for a bump stop. dont know if it will all work out, but thats half the fun trying. i'm no engineer, just a big kid in vermont with a big tool box and some time.

Not sure if you had seen this build yet. Contains the pic that N2Billet posted a bit ago. Sad that it is still on hold. |
