Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
I work at Linear Controls. Our office is right next to the Fed Ex building on Commission Blvd., right off of Southpark. When I get in from offshore, I'll PM you and see if we can meet up.

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
Guys check out my new hydroboost unit. It comes with the threaded shaft and part to couple it to the brake pedal. The unit also came with the mounting plate that bolts straight to the fire wall. I got it for $320 shipped to my house. I found it on Ebay the guys name was Elliott. He was a great person to work with and by far the fastest person to respond I have ever worked with.
I dropped the frame and other parts at the blaster Friday. It should be done in 2 weeks. It seems like a long time but the price was unbeatable. Not working on the truck this weekend was great. I got a lot done in the yard, washed cars and rested. WOW this is what all the guys do when they are not racing the clock on a project! Later

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
I just realized you have the same 383 Stroker engine I want to put in my stepper.
Would the TH400 hold up, or do I need a different trans too? Posted via Mobile Device

The HP-2 line of muffler by Flowmaster's. My plan is also to run a set of electric cut-outs. The fit will be very tight but I think I can make it fit.

Quote:
The 383 is a fun motor, lots of low end power. A TH400 should hold up fine. Funny you asked about the tranny. I droped of my 4l80e at the shop for a rebuild and the shop owner talked me out of using it. He wanted me to run a TH400 or a 700r4. I want a lock-up so i can drive the truck on trips, So he is going to build me a bad ass 700r4. Later Posted via Mobile Device

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
I picked up my frame friday from the blasters. I brought it straight to the paint booth and set it up for painting. This morning I starting painting. The color is a dark silver. Tomorrow I will get some pictures of it out the booth and post.

Re: I think i can!!! - SWB 72 Step-side
I got to sneak into the garage today for a couple hours and started assembling the front end. Where can I find some dust covers for the upper and lower ball joints? I stopped be AutoZone and they do not carry them.
