here she is looking good today
just put a goodwrench 350 crate motor in her 350hp 420 lbs of torque
purz like a kitten and fast getting it painted soon got the color picked out painting it tropical turquoise and the interior getting finished recovering the seat with gray velour.

Here is my daughters 66. It now has the later fornt suspension and disk brakes. Getting the tilt out of the same truck along with the rear end.

Oh, and a short introduction if that's fine.

The above '66 GMC is still a little bit of a mystery for me. I'm hot-rod savvy, so here's what I know (so far);

It has around 5K miles on this "build." But the true mileage is unknown to me. As is the original engine/transmission and many other details. It currently has a Chevrolet 350, BowTie Overdrives Stage 2 200-4R (care of me), 12-bolt Positraction rear end, power steering, power brakes (still 4 wheel drum), and an aftermarket/universal A/C system.

Everything else is kinda a crap shoot.

The reason I call this my blessed 66 is because I paid nothing for it. Not a dime. My great uncle purchased it new in Alabama (no title, one of my dilemmas), gave it to my grandfather in the 80s, and he bequethed it to me in 2005. No matter what kind of headaches I might have on the way to fixin' the ol' truck up - I feel blessed to even have such a nice truck.
