Re: Project: Stella Mae
No, I'm building a couple of chassis right now and Stella is on the back burner. I am however going to finish the gas tank and get that installed in the very near future and the new motor is waiting patiently on the stand

Re: Project: Stella Mae
I built one just like (well sorta) the one I have in Hazel. It will get an overdrive tranny and AC during the swap......tired of sweating.

Actually three, two are for customers and the third one is for yours truly . All have Porterbuilt fronts and rears and the one for me will have a new rear notch set up.

Re: Project: Stella Mae
I would assume that he assumes that because you said one of them is for you, that you were going to use it on Hazel thus assuming that you would have Hazels frame available for sale ? Just guessing

Re: Project: Stella Mae
Yeah, Saturday afternoon is check-in time and it can cause traffic to back up all the way into Niceville sometimes. Small price to pay to live here though! Enjoy the family time, and let me know if you need help with anything, lived here a long time and my wife even longer, we can usually send you in the right direction.

Re: Project: Stella Mae
Hey Keith, saw on Hazel you had the fuel tank built. How much higher could the top of your tank be raised with your floor lifted to clear the c-notch? Thinking of getting the same tank with 3.5'' or 4'' added to the top.
Thanks Mark |

Re: Project: Stella Mae
Give Dave or Nate a call and ask why you didn't get this part....they may have changed the design? If you like I can give them a call for you.
I have about 3-4 inches between the tank and the bed floor, I will have to measure for you to get an accurate number.

Hey n2Billet.... Ive been kreeping on your builds for a long time. I gotta say you've got a great eye, and I really love your style............... maybe too much.
Meet Stella Mae's longer canadian friend Oliver... hes still fresh with just over 26,000 original miles 6 cyl 4 speed and Bagged with accuair... His transformation is almost done, since this hes gotten a painted rear sport bumper. and I have to get the rear Notch in to level it out.Ive only had the truck for a month now, So im doing allright...... Im trying hard not to get carried away, I allready have a full porterbuilt infected 64 under construction................. Cant wait to see this new build your ramping up for!!

Re: Project: Stella Mae
With the set up in the front of stella do you think 22 inch wheels would fit under the front? I have a future project in mind and I like the set up you have here but thinking of using a little bigger wheel.

Re: Project: Stella Mae
It all depends on the backspacing and the tire size. The tire I have on the front is 28" tall so if you stay close to that range it should work without any problems.
